Shaft card (spring) installation and disassembly methods and precautions

　　Circlip spring is also called retaining ring or buckle, which belongs to a kind of fastener. It is installed in the shaft groove or hole groove of the machine and equipment and plays the role of preventing the axial movement of the parts on the shaft or hole.

　　There are two disassembly types of circlip springs. One is an expansion type and the other is a contraction type.

　　According to the shape or installation position of the spring, the appropriate tools are selected to disassemble or install the spring.

　　If the use of unsuitable tools or excessive force will damage the spring and other parts.

　　Classification of circlip springs

　　The commonly used ones are shaft card (STW) and hole card (RTW). The domestic mainland production mainly uses 65MN spring steel.

　　Removal and assembly of circlip springs

　　Spring clamp: special tool for disassembling and fitting spring.

　　Spring clamp has two kinds of hole and shaft. When the spring is removed or installed, the special tool used is the hole with the spring pliers when the jaws are opened normally; When the jaws are closed normally, the clamping spring pliers are used for shaft

　　Type of ring clamp

　　Several types of tools are available for removing and installing clasp rings. And some tools are replaceable. Select the appropriate tool according to the clasp.

　　Precautions for circlip installation

　　Some axial clearances are adjusted with clasp rings.

　　• Ensure that the clasp can rotate smoothly after assembly to confirm that the part has been reliably installed in the clasp slot.

　　(In some cases, the clings cannot be rotated, depending on the position used.)

　　• If the clasp is deformed, replace it with a new clasp.

　　Method for mounting and disassembling shaft cards (spring)

　　1. Expansion type clip spring

　　(1) Use clasp ring pliers

　　Put a clasp clamp in the gap between the end of the clasp and hold the other end of the clasp with your hand. Open the clamp and remove the clamp or install it in place.

　　(2) Use a flat-head screwdriver

　　Place a flat head screw knife on each side of the clamp end clearance and use two flat head screwdrivers. Tap the screwdrivers.

　　To install the clasp in place, gently press the clasp downward with a brass rod and tap the clasp at the opposite end of the open end with a hammer

　　Note:

　　• Use cloth to prevent the clasp from popping out.

　　• Ensure that the metal shavings left on the brass rod are removed.

　　2. Shrinkage type clip spring

　　(1) Use clasp sweet

　　Put the ring clamp into the ring hole, shrink the ring clamp, take out the ring or assemble the ring in place.

　　(2) Use a flat-head screwdriver

　　Using a flat head screwdriver, pry the inside of the clasp from the edge and remove it gradually.

　　To install the clasp in place, press the clasp with a flat-head screwdriver until the clasp is firmly installed in the retaining slot.

　　⑶ Use Taiwan Bank

　　Attach the clasp to the shaft. Clamp the clamp ring with a bench clamp and press it in for installation.
